Light & Shadow

A startle
of cats by
Midnight
outside
my cold
window>
No moon
to light
the cherry
blossoms.

--
Heaven
brought a
late Summered
rain> I’ll
wait [again]
for your poem/
August darkens
just beyond
my window.
Carefully above
the blood
withered petals of
forgotten roses,
a spider still
spinning.
